Per-Seat Billing
Team billing uses per-seat pricing where each team member counts as one seat. Billing automatically adjusts as you add or remove team members.
How It Works
Each active team member is billed at the per-seat rate. Your total monthly cost equals the number of seats multiplied by the per-seat price.
Adding Members
When you add a member mid-cycle, the team admin is charged a prorated amount for the remaining days in your billing period. The new member gets immediate access to all team resources at no cost to them—all seat charges are billed to the team owner.
Removing Members
When you remove a member, they lose access immediately. A prorated credit is applied to your account for the unused portion of their seat for that billing period.
Billing Frequency
Team subscriptions bill monthly or annually based on your choice. All seats are billed together on the same schedule with one consolidated invoice.
- • Monthly: Billed on the same date each month
- • Annual: 17% savings, billed once per year
- • Mid-cycle changes prorated automatically

Best Practices
Right-Size Your Team
Only add members who actively need access. Remove members who no longer need the service to optimize costs.
Monitor Usage
Regularly review team usage analytics to understand consumption patterns and identify opportunities for optimization.
Set Clear Roles
Assign appropriate roles based on responsibilities. Limit admin access to trusted team members who need billing and member management capabilities.
Plan Credit Needs
Calculate your team's total monthly credit needs. If the standard allocation isn't enough, consider purchasing additional credit packs or upgrading to Enterprise.
Communicate Limits
Ensure team members understand credit limits and usage policies to prevent unexpected depletion of the shared pool.
Use Annual Billing
Save 17% with annual billing. For stable teams with predictable size, annual plans provide significant cost savings.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does proration work?
When adding members mid-cycle, you pay only for the remaining days in your billing period. When removing members, you receive credit for unused days. It's completely automatic.
Can members have different permissions?
Yes. Assign Owner, Admin, or Member roles with different permission levels. Enterprise plans offer more granular permission controls.
What happens to a member's work when removed?
Their work remains in the team workspace. Admins can reassign projects or keep them for reference. The member loses access but data is preserved.
Can I set credit limits per member?
Enterprise plans support per-member credit limits. Business plans use a shared pool without individual limits.
How do I track team spending?
View consolidated team invoices in your billing dashboard. All seats are billed together with itemized breakdowns.
