Multi-Turn Dialogue

Engage in extended, context-aware conversations for iterative refinement and complex audio production workflows

Overview

Multi-Turn Dialogue is at the core of how Wubble transforms audio production from a series of isolated tasks into a continuous, natural conversation. Rather than requiring you to specify everything perfectly in a single request, Wubble supports extended back-and-forth exchanges where you can refine, explore, adjust, and perfect your work iteratively.

This mirrors how humans naturally collaborate: start with a rough idea, discuss details, try different approaches, make incremental adjustments, and converge on the final result through progressive refinement. Wubble maintains complete context throughout the entire dialogue, understanding each message in relation to everything that came before.

Benefits of Multi-Turn Dialogue

Iterative refinement: Progressively improve outputs through incremental adjustments
Creative exploration: Try different approaches without commitment until finding the right direction
Complex workflows: Execute multi-step production processes through natural dialogue
Lower initial precision: Start vague and refine details as the creative vision becomes clearer
Guided decision-making: Receive AI suggestions and clarifying questions throughout the process

How Multi-Turn Dialogue Works

In multi-turn conversations, each exchange builds on previous turns. Wubble maintains a sophisticated understanding of:

Conversation State

Current topic, active assets being worked on, parameters in focus, and the stage of the creative process (ideation, refinement, finalization).

Change History

All modifications made, allowing Wubble to understand cumulative changes and potentially revert or compare versions.

Decision Rationale

Why certain choices were made, enabling intelligent suggestions that align with your established creative direction.

Goal Awareness

The ultimate objective you're working toward, helping guide suggestions and keep the conversation productive.

User Preferences

Your expressed likes/dislikes throughout the conversation, allowing Wubble to avoid repeating unwanted suggestions.

Common Multi-Turn Patterns

Different types of tasks benefit from different conversational patterns. Here are the most common approaches:

Iterative Refinement

Start with a generated result and progressively refine it through a series of incremental adjustments until it meets your needs perfectly.

Iterative Refinement Exampletext
Turn 1:
User: "Create an upbeat electronic track for a product launch"
Wubble: *Generates initial 128 BPM electronic track*

Turn 2:
User: "Make it more energetic"
Wubble: *Increases tempo to 135 BPM, adds more percussion layers*

Turn 3:
User: "Perfect! Now add a dramatic build-up at 30 seconds"
Wubble: *Adds build-up with risers, filter sweeps, and drum fills*

Turn 4:
User: "The build-up is great but too sudden. Make it more gradual"
Wubble: *Extends build-up to 8 bars, smooths transitions*

Turn 5 (Coming Soon):
User: "Excellent! Now mix it for social media"
Wubble: *Applies loudness normalization, optimizes for mobile playback*

Result: Through conversational turns, refined from basic concept
to polished final product. (Note: Mixing capabilities coming soon)

Best for: Fine-tuning generated content, adjusting mixes, perfecting arrangements

Multi-Step Workflow Execution

Execute complex production workflows that require multiple sequential steps, with each step building on the results of previous steps.

Workflow Exampletext
Multi-Step Production Workflow via Conversation:

Phase 1 - Generation:
User: "Create a lo-fi hip hop beat with jazz piano"
Wubble: *Generates beat* "Here's your track. BPM is 85, key is F minor."

Phase 2 - Stem Separation:
User: "Separate the stems"
Wubble: *Isolates drums, bass, piano, atmospheric elements*

Phase 3 - Individual Adjustment:
User: "Make the piano more prominent"
Wubble: *Increases piano level by 3dB, adds slight compression*

User: "Add more reverb to the piano"
Wubble: *Applies plate reverb with 2.5s decay*

Phase 4 - Additional Elements:
User: "Add a smooth vinyl crackle texture"
Wubble: *Layers subtle vinyl noise throughout*

Phase 5 - Mixing (Coming Soon):
User: "Mix everything together with a warm, analog feel"
Wubble: *Applies tape saturation, final EQ, balances levels*

Phase 6 - Mastering (Coming Soon):
User: "Master it for Spotify"
Wubble: *Masters to -14 LUFS with appropriate headroom*

Throughout this workflow, Wubble maintains context of the entire
project, understanding each request in relation to previous steps.
(Note: Mixing and mastering capabilities coming soon)

Best for: Full production pipelines, stem processing, multi-stage mixing

Creative Exploration

Explore different creative directions through dialogue, with Wubble helping you discover and articulate what you're looking for.

Exploration Exampletext
Creative Exploration via Dialogue:

User: "I need music for a tech commercial but I'm not sure of the style"
Wubble: "Let me ask a few questions to help narrow it down:
  • What's the product? Is it consumer tech or enterprise?
  • What emotion should viewers feel? Excitement? Trust? Innovation?
  • Any reference brands or campaigns you admire?"

User: "It's a consumer app for productivity. Should feel modern,
efficient, but also friendly and accessible."

Wubble: "Great! That suggests:
  • Clean, minimal production
  • Upbeat but not aggressive
  • Modern electronic or indie-pop elements
  • Positive, forward-moving energy

Let me create 3 quick variations:
1. Electronic with marimba and bright synths
2. Indie-pop with acoustic guitar and subtle beats
3. Minimalist piano with light electronic elements

Which direction resonates?"

User: "I like #1 but want it slightly warmer"
Wubble: *Generates refined version with warmer tone*

User: "Perfect direction! Can we explore variations of this?"
Wubble: *Creates 3 subtle variations of the approved style*

This exploratory dialogue helped identify the right creative direction
before committing to full production.

Best for: Ideation, style discovery, when requirements are initially unclear

Comparison & A/B Testing

Generate multiple variations and compare them through dialogue, with Wubble helping you identify differences and make informed decisions.

User:"Create 3 variations of this track with different energy levels"
Wubble: *Generates low, medium, and high energy versions*
User:"I like the medium energy but can you make it slightly more upbeat?"
Wubble: *Adjusts medium version*
User:"Perfect! Now create 2 more variations of this one"

Best for: Exploring options, client presentations, finding the right feel

Problem-Solving Dialogue

Work with Wubble to diagnose and solve audio issues through interactive troubleshooting.

User:"The mix sounds muddy"
Wubble:"Let me analyze the frequency spectrum. I see buildup in the 200-400Hz range. This could be from overlapping bass and lower mids. Would you like me to:
1. Apply corrective EQ
2. Separate stems and address individually
3. Show you the problem areas first?"
User:"Show me the problem areas first"
Wubble: *Highlights problematic frequency ranges*
User:"Yes, fix with corrective EQ"

Best for: Fixing audio issues, improving mixes, technical troubleshooting

Managing Long Conversations

As conversations grow longer, Wubble provides tools to maintain clarity and productivity:

Context Summarization

Ask "What have we done so far?" or "Summarize our conversation" to get a concise overview of progress and current state.

Version Navigation

Reference specific versions: "Go back to version 3" or "Show me the version before we added reverb."

Conversation Bookmarks

Mark important points: "Save this as a checkpoint" or "Bookmark this version" for easy return later.

Topic Transitions

Explicitly signal topic changes: "Let's move on to mixing now" or "Switching to a different track" to help Wubble update context.

Branch Conversations

Create alternative paths: "Let's try a different approach without losing what we have" to explore options non-destructively.

Best Practices

Start Broad, Refine Gradually

Begin with general direction and add specifics through follow-up turns. This approach often leads to better results than trying to specify everything upfront.

Make One Change at a Time

When refining, adjust one element per turn so you can clearly evaluate each change's impact. Multiple simultaneous changes make it hard to identify what's working.

Provide Clear Feedback

Be explicit about what you like and don't like. "The tempo feels good but the mix is too bright" gives clear direction for the next iteration.

Use Comparative Language

Reference previous versions: "More like version 2 but with the energy of version 4" helps Wubble understand exactly what you want.

Don't Fear Exploration

Try different directions without commitment. Say "Let's try something completely different" or "Show me alternatives" to explore creatively.

Know When to Start Fresh

If a conversation becomes too long or you've gone down an unproductive path, start a new conversation. You can always reference previous work if needed.

Signal Major Transitions

When moving to a significantly different phase or topic, explicitly mention it: "Now let's focus on mastering" helps Wubble shift context appropriately.

Ask for Suggestions

Wubble can provide next-step suggestions: "What should we work on next?" or "What would make this better?" to guide your workflow.

Save Important Milestones

Mark significant progress points so you can return to them. This creates safety nets for experimentation.

Maintain Momentum

Keep the conversation moving forward. If you get stuck, ask Wubble for suggestions or alternatives rather than ending the session.
